Pricing and Rebates

Down South Therapy Services offers highly specialized mobile Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology and Physiotherapy services at very competitive rates. To assist all individuals to access services, the listed rebates below are available where up to 85% of session costs can be accessed.

Private Health Rebates

  • As a private organisation, all services are able to be claimed back using private health coverage
  • Available for all private health insurance providers
  • Please contact your private health insurance provider to determine your rebate (this is determined based on your level of coverage)

Medicare Chronic Disease Management Plan (formerly Enhanced Primary Health Care Plan)

  • Individuals can access this through their GP
  • 5 Occupational Therapy/Speech Pathology/Physiotherapy services per calendar year
  • Further information regarding this care plan is available through contacting Medicare and/or Down South Therapy Services
  • Medicare rebates of $52.95 per session available*

Medicare Focused Psychological Strategies (Better Access Mental Health Care Plan)

  • Individuals can access this through their GP
  • 10-12 individual and 10 group Occupational Therapy sessions per calendar year.
  • Further information regarding this care plan is available through contacting Medicare and/or Down South Therapy Services
  • It is recommended that individuals contact Down South Therapy Services prior to going to their GP if planning to use this care plan for occupational therapy sessions through Down South Therapy Services to gain necessary information prior to going to their GP
  • Medicare rebates of $92.50 per session available*

NDIS

 

NDIS My Way / NDIA

  • Down South Therapy Services currently provides Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology and Physiotherapy to individuals of all ages in the trial area of Cockburn and Kwinana. Please contact NDIS My Way to determine if you are eligible for the trial.
  • Currently these are being trialled in WA with Down South Therapy Services able to provide services under these means of funding for eligible families.

Down South Therapy Services will be able to assist in the provision of Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology and Physiotherapy services for individuals through the NDIS when this is applicable in WA.

Department of Social Services (FaHCSIA) Helping Children with Autism Funding

  • Individuals can access $6000 of Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology and Physiotherapy services per financial year for two years or until the child is 7 years old*
  • Individual and group sessions are available
  • Available for children with a diagnoses of Autism, Autism Spectrum disorder, Autistic disorder, Asperger’s disorder, Childhood Disintegrative disorder or Pervasive Developmental disorder – not otherwise specified (PDD-NOS)
  • Further information available regarding this funding through contacting the Autism Association of WA, Department of Families Housing Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA) and/or Down South Therapy Services

Department of Social Services (FaHCSIA) Better Start Early Intervention Funding

  • Individuals can access $6000 of services per financial year for two years or until the child is 7 years old
  • Individual and group sessions are available*
  • Available for children with a diagnosis of vision impairment, hearing impairment, deafblindness, cerebral palsy, Down Syndrome, Fragile X Syndrome, Prader-Willi syndrome, Angelman Syndrome, Kabuki Syndrome, Smoth-magenis syndrome, CHARGE Syndrome, Cri du Chat syndrome, Cornelia de Lange syndrome, microcephaly and Rett's disorder

Medicare Helping Children with Autism Initiative

  • Individuals can access this care plan through going to their paediatrician
  • 20 Occupational Therapy and or Speech Pathology sessions can be accessed up until an individual is 15 years old

  • Clients referred for treatment under the Helping Children with Autism Medicare initiative can access rebates for twenty sessions: 20 X $84.80 = $1696.00*

Medicare Better Start for Children with Disabilities

  • Individuals can access this care plan by going to their GP
  • Available for children with a diagnosis of vision impairment, hearing impairment, deafblindness, cerebral palsy, Down Syndrome, Fragile X Syndrome, Prader-Willi syndrome, Angelman Syndrome, Kabuki Syndrome, Smoth-magenis syndrome, CHARGE Syndrome, Cri du Chat syndrome, Cornelia de Lange syndrome, microcephaly and Ret's disorder
  • 20 Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology and Physiotherapy sessions can be accessed up until an individual is 15 years old

PITS (Post Intervention Therapy Support) Funding

  • Individuals can access $720-$1080 of Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology and Physiotherapy services post intervention services through Princess Margaret Hospital*

Follow-up Allied Health Services for people of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent

  • Individuals can access Medicare rebates for 5 Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology and Physiotherapy sessions per calendar year in ADDITION to the Medicare Chronic Disease Management Plan
  • Medicare rebates of $52.95 per session available*

Insurance Commission of WA and Public Trustee Clients

  • Clients of Insurance Commission of WA funding are eligible to receive Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology and Physiotherapy sessions through Down South Therapy Services in which no costs are incurred.

Community Grants

    Down South Therapy Services can assist families in receiving Community Grants that are available to assist families in accessing Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology and Physiotherapy sessions. Please contact Down South Therapy Services for more information on community grants that are available.
