Based on recommendations set out by the WA Health department and other Australian government Health departments, Down South Therapy are taking a number of actions to help limit the spread of COVID-19. These changes may have an effect on your therapy over the coming months; however, they are in the best interests of you and the whole community. Down South Therapy has some clients that fall into a higher risk category, so we are asking that you assist us through this period by following the Government advice and following the instructions set out in this email. Below highlights the actions Down South Therapy are taking to limit the spread of COVID-19 and what actions we are requesting you to take to assist us with this.
Down South Therapy Continuity Plan
The safety of our clients, families, staff and the community remains our number one priority.
We have developed a Business Continuity Plan to enable us to continue to support you forecasting changes in therapy provision based on government recommendations.
Your therapy will continue as previously scheduled and your therapist/s will be in contact with you to discuss a range of other therapy options to best suit your needs over the coming months.
In anticipating changes to directive therapy, we have developed the following options for therapy provision and support.
The most important thing is for routine to remain as normal as possible, and as a service, we believe that these options are the safest way to continue to provide you with support.
If you are currently receiving services from us, our team will be in touch over the coming days to discuss these options with you. We are also making every effort to contact those who are on our waiting lists for the commencement of services.
Telehealth Feedback from our clients:
"We tried Telehealth with our Occupational Therapist Zoe and I have to say it was great! My daughter was engaged with Zoe on the call and during the session. I think she enjoyed it a little bit more than a regular session! I was not sure how it would work out but the surprise of all surprises it worked wonderfully for her. I will definitely be keeping up with this during the course of what is happening now in our lives for as long as it takes to ensure my daughter still receives the ongoing sessions she really needs."
What advice do you have for parents who are unsure about how telehealth will go for their child?
"If you are unsure give it a try, at least for a few sessions and see if it works for your child. You never know until you try it. We will be continuing with Telehealth appointments with all our therapists from Down South Therapy so we can get our daughter the much-needed support"
If you have any questions at all, please contact your therapist/s directly or our amazing Administration Coordinator Sarah via phone or email. 0404 698 218 or email@example.com
