One-Off Assessment and Report
Why get an assessment and report?
An assessment and written report can provide a comprehensive understanding of a child’s strengths, challenges, and specific needs. It’s often a helpful starting point for identifying areas where support may be needed—whether at home, at school, or in therapy.
Some common reasons to get an assessment and report include:
- Guiding support: A detailed report offers practical, personalised recommendations to help guide intervention strategies at home, school, or in therapy.
- School support and planning: Teachers and support staff can use the report to adapt their teaching approach, plan goals, and implement classroom strategies.
- Accessing services: A formal report may be required to access certain funding, therapy services, or educational supports.
- Tracking progress: It provides a baseline to measure change over time and helps determine what’s working and where adjustments are needed.
- Updated Evaluation: Clients who have had a previous assessment but may require an updated evaluation or additional assessments conducted.
- School and/or Home Program: If you are on the waitlist, this is a fantastic opportunity to have an assessment and receive a tailored home program to work on specific goals during the school holiday period. For participants who attend school, the report, home program and recommendations can also be shared with teachers going into the new school term.
*This is the default option when booking
One-Off Assessment only
Even without a formal report, an assessment can still be a valuable tool in understanding your child’s needs. It may help clarify any concerns you have as a parent, or those raised by your child’s teacher, and can provide useful insights to guide next steps in supporting their learning and development.
If you're noticing challenges with communication, behaviour, learning, or development, an assessment can help pinpoint what’s going on.
*You will need to opt out of the report when booking
Important Note Regarding Ongoing Therapy
Please be advised that these bookings do not impact your position on our waitlist and will not result in earlier access to services.
At this time, we are unable to accommodate Ongoing Sessions, as all session times during the school term are currently filled and subject to a waitlist. If you are already on the waitlist, rest assured that it is actively monitored. We remain committed to managing it efficiently to ensure access to therapy services as soon as availability permits.
Important Note for CDMP clients
Please be aware that CDMP (Chronic Disease Management Plans) sessions are not free. The full fee for the service is required to be paid on the day by physical credit card or bank transfer. We will then send you a receipt the following day so that you can claim your Medicare rebate.
Reports are not covered by CDMP plans.
For feeding and swallowing concerns, or Functional Capacity Assessment needs please call our office on 0404 698 218, instead of booking online.
