Some assessment needs require a different appointment
Our School Holiday Assessment Clinics are designed for a range of Speech Pathology and Occupational Therapy assessment needs. Some areas, however, require a more specialised assessment process or a different type of appointment.
The following services are not offered as part of these School Holiday Clinics:
Assessment or support relating to feeding and swallowing concerns
Functional Capacity Assessments
ADHD assessments
Speech Assessment Clinic
A dedicated assessment appointment to better understand your child's communication needs and discuss the most appropriate next steps.
Every child is different, so the assessment process is tailored to the areas we need to understand. For some children, this may also help determine whether Therapy Assistant support could be appropriate.
What is included?
Your initial clinic appointment is 90 minutes.
Time to settle in
Building rapport and helping your child feel comfortable and ready to participate.
Understanding your concerns
Gathering relevant information from you about your child's communication, strengths and areas of concern.
Assessment activities

Feedback and next steps

Some children may need more than one assessment appointment
Depending on the areas being assessed and your child's individual needs, one 90-minute appointment may not be enough to complete the full assessment.
Our admin team will contact you after booking to discuss your child's needs and help ensure the appropriate number of appointments are booked.
